The political heat triggered by Pawan Kalyan’s Telangana remarks continues to intensify. His comments questioning whether Telangana was someone’s “jageer” have drawn sharp reactions from leaders across the political spectrum.
Telangana Minister Ponnam Prabhakar launched a strong attack on the Jana Sena chief. He asserted that Telangana belongs to its four crore people and not to any individual or political party. ( అవును.. తెలంగాణ మా అయ్య జాగీరే, మీ అయ్య జాగీరు కాదు. )
Ponnam said Pawan’s comments reflected arrogance and questioned why the Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister was displaying such resentment toward Telangana. He also reminded Pawan that the state government had welcomed him as a guest just a few months ago.
The minister further questioned what Pawan hopes to achieve politically in Telangana. He urged him not to hurt the self respect and sentiments of Telangana people through provocative statements.
Congress MLA Anirudh Reddy too joined the attack, questioning Pawan’s political priorities and his frequent references to Telangana. With leaders from both Congress and BRS targeting him, Pawan’s remarks have now snowballed into a major political controversy in Telangana.
