Anti-Paper Leak Bill Ruckus: Rahul Gandhi Targets Amit Shah

Lok Sabha witnessed a heated political debate as the Lower House discussed the Anti-Paper Leak Bill in Parliament. Earlier yesterday, the House saw MPs using Gen Z slang and words like FOMO, clock it, MIA, delulu were used during heated talk. The discussion witnessed repeated interruptions as both the ruling NDA and the Opposition traded accusations over the issue of examination reforms and student welfare.

Taking this to the next level today, Congress MP and Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, made severe comments against Union Home Minister Amit Shah and RSS.

Rahul accused the Centre of ignoring students’ concerns over repeated examination paper leaks and criticized the government’s handling of student protests.

‘Students Felt Ignored,’ Says Rahul Gandhi
Rahul Gandhi said the entire country understood the frustration of students affected by paper leaks. He said students spend years preparing for competitive examinations, only to see their hard work go to waste due to repeated irregularities.

“The youth are deeply disappointed. Students told me that those in power are not listening to their concerns. After suffering for a long time, they were forced to stage peaceful protests in Delhi. Instead of hearing them out, the police tried to provoke the protesters,” Rahul said.

During his speech, Rahul used a word that drew strong objections from Treasury Bench MPs, who claimed it was unparliamentary and insulting. They demanded that the remarks be removed from the official records. Speaker Om Birla later ordered the objectionable portions to be expunged.

Amit Shah Behind Police Action on Students

Rahul Gandhi further questioned the police action against students protesting over examination irregularities. He alleged that pellet guns were used against protesters and claimed that Union Home Minister Amit Shah had directed authorities to suppress the demonstrations.

He also questioned why Amit Shah was not present in the House to respond to the allegations, leading to another round of heated exchanges between the ruling party and the Opposition.

Rahul Targets RSS Over Education System

Rahul Gandhi also alleged that the country’s education system is increasingly controlled by the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).

“Education has become an expensive business. Parents are spending lakhs of rupees on their children’s education, but the system has become cruel due to unchecked privatization. Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan is only a symbol. The real force behind the education system is the RSS. Even Vice-Chancellors of universities are being appointed from the RSS ecosystem,” he alleged.

His comments triggered loud protests from BJP members, who strongly rejected the allegations.

BJP Hits Back, Seeks Apology

Reacting strongly to Rahul Gandhi’s remarks, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju demanded that the Congress leader should withdraw his statements and apologize to Home Minister Amit Shah.

“How can Rahul Gandhi make such serious allegations without any evidence? He must withdraw his comments and apologize to the Home Minister,” Rijiju said.

BJP MPs also accused Rahul of misleading Parliament and using students’ issues to target the government politically.
