Telangana YCP Chief Resigns; To Join BJP?

The YCP in Telangana is almost empty as the last recognisable leader has resigned. Its Telangana YCP chief Gattu Srikanth Reddy who quit the party and he penned a letter to AP CM YS Jagan regarding the same.

Srikanth Reddy called on the media and talked about why he is leaving the party and also revealed his future plans.

“Keeping in view of AP’s interest, there is no chance of YCP expanding in Telangana. With a heavy heart I’m leaving the party,” added Srikanth Reddy. However he wished good luck for Jagan and hoped that he achieves everything he aspires to.

Recalling his association with Jagan, Srikanth added that “I got introduced to Jagan in the year 2007 and I started as an ordinary Karyakartha. Until today I was party chief and I’m grateful to Jagan for giving me enough opportunities.”

On his future plans, Srikanth said he would be soon joining a national party and will contest from Huzurnagar assembly constituency in the next general elections. But he did not disclose where he will end up at.

When asked about YS Sharmila’s party in Telangana, Srikanth extended good luck to her and said he has no differences with her.

That said it’s all over for YCP in Telangana and probably YSR supporters and sympathisers may extend their support o Sharmila.
