Coronavirus variant N440K heated up the political atmosphere in Andhra Pradesh.
In a latest development, TDP leaders, including the ward members, Kandulavaripalle village sarpanch and the deputy sarpanch belonging to party president N. Chandrababu Naidu’s hometown, lodged a complaint in Chandragiri police station against minister Kodali Nani for his insulting remarks against their party president N. Chandrababu Naidu, which went viral. The minister called Naidu ‘Nara 420’ virus and further humiliated him saying that it was born in Naravaripalle 70 years ago. He also said that the Nara 420 virus was destroying the state.
Earlier, a case was filed against Chandrababu Naidu after he said that the N440K variant was born in Kurnool and that it was 15 times more infectious than other variants. Following this complaint by the YCP leaders in Kurnool, TDP leaders lodged a complaint against minister Sidiri Appala Raju.
While this war of words was continuing between the YCP and TDP leaders, government advisor Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy alleged that Naidu was terrorising people in the name of N440K with his half-baked knowledge.
The TDP leaders are fuming at Nani for his indecent remarks and saying that he should stop being arrogant and insulting others.
