The Telangana government has decided to extend the lockdown and regarding the same an official announcement has arrived. From May 12th, Telangana went into lockdown and it was supposed to come to an end on May 22nd.
A decision to extend the lockdown was supposed to be taken on May 20th in the cabinet meeting. However, CM KCR has personally called on all the council of ministers over the phone today and took their opinion. After taking their views into consideration, CM KCR has ordered an extension. This prolonged lockdown will come to an end on May 30th.
Since KCR has called on the council of ministers, he has called off the cabinet meeting scheduled on May 20th.
Meanwhile Telangana has reported 3982 new cases in the last 24 hours and in Hyderabad, 607 new infections were reported. 48,110 are the active cases.
