The much anticipated IPL finale has ended in heartbreak for Sunrisers Hyderabad fans as the side posted a paltry total of 113 which was easily chased down by KKR.
While we have this heartbreaking story for SRH on one side, let us look at the prize money that the finalists will be getting.
The winner of the IPL title, Kolkata will be getting a whopping Rs 20 crores. This is the highest prize money for any cricketing league in the world and KKR will fill up their pockets reasonably well.
Runner-up SRH will be getting an impressive Rs 12.5 crore as well, which is not a bad deal. SRH will be getting nearly 60% of the prize money that the winner of the title, KKR will be receiving.
Rajasthan Royals and Royal Challengers Bengaluru which stood 3rd and 4th respectively will get Rs 7 crore and 6.5 crore respectively. The winner of the Orange Cap, Virat Kohli will get Rs 15 lakh for being the leading runscorer of the season.
