India Loses 14th Toss In Row, But Dangerous Head Gone!

Something extraordinary and also unfortunate happened in the ongoing semifinal match between India and Australia in the ICC Champions Trophy. In team, India lost its 14th toss in a row and Rohit Sharma himself has ended up losing his 11th consecutive toss.

Not often do we see teams losing 14 toes in a row and this has strangely happened to India now. Coincidentally this loss streak started for India at the 50 over World Cup that was played in 2023 between India and Australia. It is still continuing to this day while the two teams faced in the semi-final in the champions trophy today.

Coming to the match situation, the game is tightly poised as Australia won the toss and adopted to bat. The arch nemesis of Travis head was looking dangerous earlier in the game today, but he got dismissed before he could deliver further damage. He got out on 39 runs in Varun Chakravarthy’s bowling.

As we type this, the scorecard reads 105/2 with Smith and Labuschagne at the crease for Australia. India will need to restrict Australia to around 250 in the first innings because batting will get that much tougher in the second innings due to the pitch condition.
