Who Is Abhishek Nayar, Why Rohit Thanked Him?

For a long time, now, there have been several complaints about the poor batting performances of Rohit Sharma in the IPL. He has been getting to 20s and 30s, but has been struggling to keep the momentum going and go on to get big scores.

But this long wait came to an end in the game against Chennai Super Kings, as Rohit returned to his prime form as he got 76 runs. This is one of the best innings from the team India captain in recent years.

Shortly, after this match got completed, Rohit shared an interesting social media post, where he thanked Abhishek Nayar. He acknowledged the support of the talented fitness and batting coach as a token of appreciation. 

Notably Abhishek was with the national side as he served as India’s fitness and batting coach in the Gautham Gambhir coaching team. He was an integral part of the coaching setup and is loved by seniors, like Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, Shreyas Iyer and others. 

However, shockingly the BCCI announced that Abhishek is no longer a part of the coaching department as he was denounced last week. But that did not stop Rohit from working closely with Abhishek and the same is to be understood by the fact that he acknowledged the support of the coach in his resurgence to form.

Abhishek is one of the respected coaches of the Indian coaching team and his departure from the coaching team came as a sudden shock. Joined Kolkata Knight Riders after this decision, and he was also seen working with Rohit Sharma at the Mumbai camp before the game against Chennai.

It is strange to see such a talented and respected coach, getting released by the BCCI at this crucial juncture.
