The game between Rajasthan Royals and Gujarat Titans last night saw two significant records tumble courtesy of an insane knock by the young Vaibhav Suryavanshi. The 14 year old youngster, created the record for the youngest player in the history of IPL to score century and reached there in a record quick.
While chasing a considerably big target of 200+ runs, Rajasthan needed a strong start at the top of the order, and this came in the best possible way in the form of a firing knock from Vaibhav.
The 14 year old young boy from Bihar, who debuted in the IPL this year created a sensation at the top by scoring hundred runs off just 35 balls. He is the youngest player in IPL history to record a century in the tournament and this comes shortly after he recently wrote the record for being the youngest player to debut in the league as well.
On top of that, Vaibhav now holds the record for the fastest century by any Indian player in IPL.
While the conventional fastest century record is held by Chris Gayle, who got to this hundred mark in just 30 balls in the game against Pune, youngster Vaibhav holds the record for being the fastest Indian player as he got there in 35 balls.
As a result, Rajasthan ended up scoring 212 runs in just 15.5 overs. This goes down as one of the most insanely fast run chases in the history of IPL.
