Historically speaking, Mumbai Indians have been one of the most consistent teams in the history of IPL and they are back on track this year after a couple of poor seasons. The Mumbai based side has become the latest team to qualify for the playoffs.
As of today’s ranking, Mumbai is in fourth position on the table and they have the chance to go up to 2nd position if they win the next game against Punjab.
This qualification to the play offs came after Mumbai posted a significant victory over Delhi Capitals in the game at Wankhede. They have successfully become the fourth team to qualify for the playoffs this year.
What is more concerning for other teams this year is that Mumbai is looking extremely strong in every single department. They are consistent with the bat at the top of the order, and their bowling is the absolute best in the league with the likes of Jaspreet Bumrah and Mitchell Santner in peak form.
Beating this rampant Mumbai Indian side is going to be a challenge and a half for other teams in the league this year. Adding to that, they have the experience of playing the games in the IPL, which is a given considering that they’ve won the league a record equalling five times in the past. The latest indication from Mumbai is that they are truly coming for their sixth title this year.
Beating this Mumbai Indian side is going to be really tough task for the other three qualified teams, which are Bengaluru, Punjab, and Gujarat.
