After having finally won the IPL trophy after 18 long years, Royal Challengers Bengaluru is up for sale now as the current owner has listed the team in the open market for purchase.
Going into the story, the RCB franchise is currently owned by the Diageo Group which is a famous sporting company that owns IPL and WPL teams. Reportedly, this company is now preparing to sell the RCB franchise to potential bidders.
The process of the sale operation has been initiated already and any interested parties can place adequate financial reports to complete the purchase.
The idea is to complete the sale operation by the start of the next season of IPL. If everything as planned, then RCB could be sold to a new company by March 31 next year.
As of today, RCB is one of the most valuable sporting teams in the world with its market evaluation in the vicinity of $2 billion. So it would take a mega company and a massive financial reflux to buy this super pool IPL team that has Kane following not just in India but across the globe.
