India Gets Wake Up Call Before T20 WC!

The closely anticipated T20 World Cup is barely two weeks from now, and India is one of the title favourites in the tournament. In this context, the ongoing T20 series against New Zealand will serve as a crucial practice environment for the Indian team.

After having secured the T20 series already by winning the first three games against New Zealand, India was very complacent in the fourth T20 that was held tonight.

India got a good wake up call in the fourth t20 game as New Zealand could beat the men in blue very comprehensively.

New Zealand batted first and scored 215 runs on this Vizag pitch, which is known to favour the batsmen. In response to this, India could score only 165 runs, and this was also largely thanks to the splendid innings from Shivam Dubey.

Dubey was absolutely electrifying with the bat as he scored the third fastest half century for India in just 15 balls. But there was no contribution from the rest of the team, and subsequently India ended up losing the game by a comfort margin of 40 runs.

This must be considered as wake up call for India before the start of the T20 World Cup, as any kind of reckless batting or bowling can cost the team in that big tournament.
