Good News to Team India: Pakistan Beats Australia!

In around a week from now, the T20 World Cup will be starting, and this is some exciting news for Cricket lovers across the globe. Notably teams like India, Australia, and England will start as the natural favourites to win the tournament this year. 

Considering that the tournament is going to be held in the subcontinent conditions, India will be one of the clear favourites to win the title. The only team that can post a significant challenge to India is Australia, and it appears that they are struggling in these conditions.

Australia is currently touring Pakistan as a part of three-game T20 series, which started today. In the first match that was held at Lahore, Australia had a disappointing outing as they could not chase down a target of 168 that was set by Pakistan.

It is a fact that Australia did not have the star players like Mitchell Marsh and Marcus Stoinis. But the evident weakness that Australia showed against spin bowling of Pakistan was clearly on display.

If this really is the case and Australia continues to struggle against spinning conditions in the subcontinent, then there is a very good chance that India’s prospects go up further. If teams can challenge formidable Australian batting lineup with spin conditions, it could be a favourable result for other teams. 

But nevertheless, Australia is a team and half on their day and defeating them is virtually impossible if they are on song. The responsibility will be on India to bring their A game in the tournament and that’s for sure.
