Sri Lanka is going through a serious economic crisis. The government has announced an emergency and curfew all over the country, yet things haven’t settled down. People are still struggling for daily essentials but in limited stock with the inflation at its peak.
India has come forward and supported Sri Lanka in these challenging times by sending 40,000 tonnes of rice and diesel. But there is no change in the panic situation and amidst this Sri Lankan President has called all the political parties in the country to join the ministry to find a solution to this crisis.
Saaho beauty Jacqueline Fernandez who happens to be a Sri Lankan by birth has opened up about the situation in her mother land and she is heartbroken. “As a Srilankan, it is heartbreaking to see what my country and countrymen are going through,” added Jacqueline but she is optimistic that the state of affairs will improve.
Jacqueline received a lot of opinions since the crisis began but it’s too quick to pass a judgement and vilify any group based on what is shown. She appealed to everyone to make a two minutes prayer for strength and well-being to bring everyone much closer than a comment based on a loose grasp of the situation.
In 2006, Jacqueline was crowned as Miss Universe Sri Lanka and three years later i.e, in 2009, she marked her Bollywood debut with Riteish Deshmukh’s ‘Aladin.’ With Salman Khan’s ‘KICK’ Jacqueline rose to stardom. She was last seen in John Abraham’s ‘ATTACK.’
