In a major update in Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case inquiry, the Supreme court today directed the CBI to probe the case. The family of Sushant and other actors like Ankita Lokhande expressed confidence and happiness as the CBI inquiry outcome would be fair and unbiased.
Sushant’s sister Shweta Singh Kirit tweeted, “Congratulations to my extended family!! So happy… the first step towards victory and unbiased investigation. #JusticeforSushantSingRajput #OurfullfaithonCBI.”
Another sister of Sushant, Meetu Singh wrote on Twitter, “There we go!! Finally!! #CBIForSSR!! #CBITakesOver .. thanks to all SSRians And Supporter.”
Sushant’s sister Priyanka Singh also tweeted, “Destiny’s Rockstar and my soul friend… it’s most melancholic- the slightest of realization that you are not there!!! #CBITakesOver.”
The apex court was hearing a plea by Rhea Chakraborty to transfer the complaint by Sushant’s father against her, from Bihar to Mumbai. Justice Hrishikesh Roy upheld the FIR registered in Patna saying it was correct and the Bihar government is competent enough to transfer the case to CBI for further probe.
On the other side, Sushant’s father issued a statement declaring he is the legal heir to his son and highlighted that any engagement of a lawyer, CA, and other professionals by Sushant ended after his death.
