The state of Telangana has reported its biggest spike of new Covid-19 positive cases in a single day. In the last 24 hours, 2579 new cases are reported among the 52,933 samples tested. This is for the first time Telangana has tested over 50K samples in a single day. Also the total samples tested so far has crossed the 10 Lakh mark.
The total cases from Telangana stand at 1,08,670 while the active cases is 23,737. Nine people have died in the past 24 hours while the total death tally is 770.
Coming to the total cases tally in India, it has touched the 31 Lakh mark and currently it is at 31,67,324. 60,975 cases were reported yesterday but the active cases count has gone up and hit the 7 Lakh mark.
848 people have died in a single day and the total death count is 58,546. ICMR stated that 9,25,383 samples were tested yesterday and as of August 24th, the total samples tested are 3,68,27,520.
