Talented Actors Banned from Malayalam Film Industry

The recent decision by the Film Employees Federation of Kerala (FEKKA) and Kerala Film Producers Association to ban actors Shane Nigam and Sreenath Bhasi from working in the Malayalam film industry has caused a stir. The ban comes as a result of alleged unprofessional activities and various allegations against the actors, including drug abuse and troubling producers with unprofessional behavior.

Shane Nigam and Sreenath Bhasi are critically acclaimed actors with notable performances in many successful films. Shane Nigam has appeared in films such as Kismath, Corona Papers, Bhoomi, Anwar, Eeda, and Ullasam. At the same time, Sreenath Bhasi has been seen in films like The Last Supper, Parava, Virus, Trance, and Bheeshma Parvam, among others. The two actors have also worked together in the highly acclaimed film Kumbalangi Nights.

This is not the first time that Shane Nigam and Sreenath Bhasi have made headlines for negative reasons. Sreenath Bhasi was arrested in September 2022 after a female reporter from a YouTube channel accused him of abuse, including using sexually explicit language and insulting her dignity.

On the other hand, Shane Nigam was previously banned from the Malayalam film industry in 2019 for unprofessional behavior. During the shooting of the film Veyil, he cut off his hair without permission, causing difficulties for the film’s makers.

The decision to ban these talented actors from the industry due to their unprofessional behavior is a loss for both the actors and the Malayalam film industry.
