Renu Sri (18) a first-year Engineering student of Gitam University Hyderabad died by suicide. The girl jumped from the fifth floor of the varsity building in Rudraram on Friday afternoon.
Renu Sri died on the spot as she got multiple injuries. The incident was recorded on cell phones by many students on the campus but no one attempted to stop her from dying by suicide.
She reportedly joined the varsity three months ago in Computer Science Engineering. Her parents were living in the Madhapur area of Hyderabad.
The body has been shifted to a hospital in Patancheru for postmortem.
