People usually commute to work via road and train and it is highly unimaginable to come across those who travel via flight to work. But, here is the story of one woman who is of Indian origin, and she prefers to travel to work five days a week via flight. Racheal Kaur stays in Malaysia and daily commutes between Malaysia and Penang.
Racheal works as an Assistant Manager in Finance Operations at AirAsia in Malaysia. She stays with her family in Penang. Earlier, she rented a house in Kaula Lumpur and used to visit home only once a week. But, she found it difficult to manage kids and also strike a balance between personal and professional lives.
Hence, Racheal decided to move away from Malaysia and decide to do up and down, which she thinks is working for her. Surprising everyone, she also revealed that the air travel has helped her reduce her expenses.
Earlier, she used to spend at least $474 (approximately Rs 41,000) per month on rent and other expenses. However, despite doing to and fro air travel five days a week, her monthly travel costs have been reduced to $316 (approximately Rs 27,000).
