The IPL is witnessing the resurgence of Telugu talent with stars like Nitish Kumar Reddy and Tilak Varma leading the charge. These two talented youngsters are a part of the national team now after being super successful for their respective IPL franchises.
In tune with this, we have another talented Telugu youngster debuting in the IPL and he is Satyanarayana Raju, who is a native of Kakinada in Andhra Pradesh.
Raju was picked up by Mumbai in the recent mega auction, and he somehow managed to impress the management so very much that he instantly found a place in the bowling lineup.
While Raju was not much help in the first game, where he bowled only one over against Chennai and conceded 13, he was downbeat in the second game. He considered 40 runs in three hours and picked up one wicket against Gujarat last night.
However, the good thing about Raju is that he has the clear backing of Rohit Sharma and captain Hardik Pandya. Rohit was seen encouraging Raju during the start of the game, and Hardik Pandya was seen giving him inputs and cheering him through the course of the game.
If a youngster is being backed so very much by the likes of Rohit and Hardik, then he certainly would be having something special of his armour. The same could be the case with the young Satyanarayana Raju, and perhaps this slow start could be the start of something big as he appears to have the potential to strike big in the near future.
While the Telugu land is already rejoicing, the meteoric rise of its two youngsters, Nitish Reddy and Tilak Varma, it would be a great deal if we could find another gem in the form of Satyanarayana Raju.
