Pathetic: India’s New Luxury Trains Littered In 24 Hours!

A significant portion of the Indian population is still under the radar when it comes to hygiene and social etiquette. This was on pathetic display again as the newest luxury train fleet belong to India got tarnished within 24 hours of lunch.

Incidentally, the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi launched the new Vande Bharat sleeper train just yesterday. This is a new addition to the luxury travel fleet from Indian Railways as these trains have the best in class sleeping arrangements and quality interiors.

However, the pathetic thing with the launch of these new trains has been the social hygiene and manners of the travelling Indian population.

Shockingly enough, several of these Vande Bharat sleeper trains have witnessed cases of littering and damage from the travelers. Within 24 hours of the launch of the Vande Bharat sleeper trains, several coaches were seen with wrappers and food items littered on the floor and on the seats.

Considering the fact that the Vande Bharat sleeper trains come with some of the highest ticket prices, it was expected that the travelling population will be very watchful of the coaches. But that is not the case as these trains got tarnished with littering within 24 hours of launch.

The ticket prices for these trains are significantly higher than regular trains and here’s a look at the pricing chart.

3AC Fare structure:
🔹 400 km – ₹960
🔹 800 km – ₹1,920
🔹 2000 km – ₹4,800
🔹 2800 km – ₹6,720
