Sudden Thunderstorm Brings Hyderabad To Halt!

Hyderabad had been facing issues with waterlogging whenever there is a rain in the city and a similar scenario opened up today due to unexpected rains.

Hyderabad witnessed thunderstorms earlier in the day today, and this brought the traffic equation to an absolute standstill as simple 5 km journey is taking more than one hour.

Particularly areas like Hitech city, Madhapur Gachibowli and Jubilee Hills have been witnessing insane loads of traffic with people getting stuck on the roads.

This has raised serious concerns about public travel today with even simple commuting journeys which take 20 minutes ending up taking 1 to 1 and half hours.

There is extreme waterlogging in several urban pockets of the city, which is paired with the office outgoing times. These two have amalgamated to create an absolute standstill traffic situation in the city which is leaving many commuters gasping for breath.

With the onset of monsoon season, not too far from now, these early rains are welcome in terms of climate betterment as the city had been reeling under extreme heat for the last few weeks. These evening rains have chilled the atmosphere completely.
