This airport is obviously named after the legendary Alluri Sitarama Raju and it will be a part of AP’s recent history as it would be replacing the Vizag airport with flight operations.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be visiting the airport at around 11 in the morning today and inspect the facilities that are being made available. He will walk across certain terminals in order to experience the architectural brilliance of this place.
Chief minister Chandrababu Naidu was very firm about developing this airport as a cultural hub, and that is reflecting in the diverse architecture that has been enforced in the construction of this project.
Along with this airport, the Prime Minister will be launching development activities worth more than ₹17,000 crore in the Bhogapuram region alone, which will be another significant sanction to this region.
With this inauguration, Andhra Pradesh will reach a total of six airports, and this is surprisingly big number. This Alluri Sitarama Raju airport will be the newest addition to the list, and it will also be one of the finest at the state’s disposal.
