Trending: Rohit’s Frustrated Gesture To Umpire Goes Viral

Rohit Sharma is known for his calm and composed attitude on the cricketing field. However, the skipper of defending champions Mumbai Indians lost his cool in the match against Punjab Kings that happened last night. Rohit showed dissent towards the on-field and risked IPL code of conduct breach.

In the first over bowled by Moses Henriques, Rohit was given out on the fifth ball. Moses bowled the ball towards the legside and Rohit left it to the keeper, who eventually caught it. The opposite team appealed for a keeper catch and the umpire has given it as out. Frustrated Rohit took a review immediately and in the review, it was proved that Rohit’s bat didn’t nick the ball and it only touched his thigh pad.

While taking review, Rohit showed dissent towards the umpire by gesturing him. According to the IPL code of conduct, a player should not use the wrong decision made by an umpire as a defense. Even the netizens have criticized Rohit for being rude to the umpire. Meanwhile, the IPL board is yet to react to this incident.
