Telangana continues to report the highest number of coronavirus cases with a massive 199 positive cases on Sunday. This is the highest single-day record in the state. The total number of cases in the state is 2698 and in the last 24 hours, five people have died due to the novel virus.
In total, the covid19 has claimed 82 lives in Telangana. Among 199 today, 122 are from GHMC, 40 from Rnaga Reddy, 10 from Medchal, 9 from Khammam, 3 from Mahbubnagar. Also, 3 new cases have been reported among deportees/foreign returnees today and the total number of cases among migrants, foreign returnees so far is 434.
Though the huge number in certain places like GHMC is scary, a few districts like Nalgonda, Siddipet, Mulugu and Kamareddy have remained with zero positive cases since the past 14 days. On the other hand, CM KCR has extended the lockdown in the identified containment zones in Telangna till 30 June to curb the virus. And, non-containment zones will have the lockdown only till 7 June.
