Ram Charan’s Peddi is just two days away from its Premieres. We have seen how the Percentage issue threatened the film however it is resolved. But the drama is not over yet.
The Producer is having an eventful time at the last minute. We know how the suspense is on about the G.O. by the Telangana Government over ticket prices hike and the bookings can not open until the G.O. is received.
The makers are confident that they will receive the G.O. tomorrow. In any case, the bookings will open tomorrow evening.
And then, there is this issue between SVC and Mythri. Mythri grabbed the Natraj theater in Nizamabad right from Sirish Reddy’s nose. This has become a prestige issue because Nizamabad is the home town of Dil Raju and Sirish.
Sirish Reddy is adamant about getting the theater back and is not giving his theaters for Peddi until it is resolved.
SVC has about 30 theaters in Nizam. They may appear less on paper but most are revenue generators. So, it is important to get the issue resolved. A meeting is currently underway in Hyderabad and the issue maybe resolved by evening.
And then, there is the issue of Distributors paying the money. It is known to our readers that the makers agreed to pay 7.5% of the Hiked Prices to the Exhibitors along with the rents.
Distributors are saying they would pay less than the committed amounts as a result.
But the producers say it is not right because no one is aware of the footfalls. They ask the distributors to pay the amount now and reduce the 7.5% when they send the statement by the end of the run. So, this is another important issue.
