Kannada Director Moves Away From Charan & Yash

All these days, one big name that is heard in connection with two of the country’s biggest stars right now is none other than Kannada director Narthan.

It is rumoured that the filmmaker has actually narrated a story to Ram Charan first and another one to KGF star Yash as well. Many thought that either Charan or Yash will do a film with him.

Quite surprisingly, Narthan has announced that he is coming up with a spin-off of his own “Mufti” movie, which has Shivrajkumar in the lead as a crime boss. Titled “Bhairati Ranagal”, this movie is going to be a prequel to that story and will be showcasing the rise of the hero as the lord of the crime world.

At the end of the original Mufti, actually one could see that Shivrajkumar goes to prison, and this story connects his prison time as well as the glorious past.

Well, this is quite a surprise that despite carving out a stylish film like Mufti, which is a neo-noir action thriller, two big stars like Charan and Yash haven’t liked the story.

Some say that though Charan liked it, he doesn’t want to do a simple action thriller at the moment but wants something bigger that would cater to the whole of India. UV Creations was supposed to produce Charan-Narthan movie.
