Mass Raja Raviteja is now gearing up with the film “Eagle” which will hit the screens most likely on Sankranthi eve. Also, the film is ready for advancement to a week prior, if something is not good with the theatre availability and other issues. At this juncture, if we look at the star hero’s releases from the previous Christmas to this Christmas, surely it’s a stunner.
For the last Christmas, Mass Raja arrived with Dhamaka and scored a hit. Then he arrived in theatres with Ravanasura during Summer, which didn’t work out, but that didn’t stop him from bringing Tiger Nageswara Rao on Dasara eve.
While this film also didn’t stand up to the expectations, still it made ₹50 crores gross easily, showcasing the hero’s star power. And now, close to a year from Dhamaka, he got Eagle ready. If we include his second-lead act in Megastar Chiru’s Waltair Veerayya as well, we have Mass Raja delivering five films in a year’s time, a feat that’s not done by any other star in Tollywood.
Whether the films are working at the box office or not, Raviteja is able to deliver continuous entertainment and business, thus raising the strike rate like how two batsmen do. That way he has become the run-machine for Tollywood irrespective of the odds. And now, if Raviteja scores with Eagle, he will be that top hero in terms of strike rate, that no other has. Other star heroes have delivered only two films in a calendar year, but not more than that.
