Vizag City Getting Rebuilt For Mega Hero

The makers of ‘Hi Nanna’ have other day confirmed that they are super happy with the result and the box office performance of the Nani starrer. That brings their next production venture to focus and it is none other than Varun Tej and Meenakshi Chaudhary starrer ‘Matka’ which has Palasa fame Karuna Kumar directing it. The film happens to be a high-budget movie ever in the mega hero’s career.

It is already known that Matka is set in the 1960s with a Vizag city backdrop and for that the makers are already working very hard. Currently, they are building a vintage Vizag set in Hyderabad that will cost a bomb. As the city backdrop plays a major role in the film, they are spending huge money to get some parts of the city recreated in Hyderabad to the original scale. And the additional expansion of vintage Vizag will happen through Computer Graphics and digital matte paintings.

Though the back to back failures of movies like Ghani and Gandeevadara Arjuna have impacted the release date of Operation Valentine, it looks like the makers of Matka are not worried about Varun Tej’s recent track record. They are confident that the movie Matka will be a smashing hit for the kind of production design they are offering along with the intense story.
