Small Movie Rocking On Amazon Prime Video

Though most of the critics rated this as an old school love story with 2 stars to 2.5 stars, the film “Raja Varu Rani Garu” is getting an amazing response on digital streaming now. Well, looks like all those movie lovers who didn’t go to theatres to catch the movie are going to Amazon Prime Video now in these lockdown times to catch the film it looks like.

Reports are coming that the film “Raja Varu Rani Garu” has now got almost 50 million viewing minutes on Amazon Prime. That means, even if we consider at 50% audience retention rate, the film has almost 4 lakhs viewers who watched it for nearly an hour even if they fast-forward some scenes.

That’s like, getting 2 crores ‘share’ collection from the box office if we calculate that at least Rs 50 from the ticket rate of Rs 100 goes into producer’s pocket. That’s a big accomplishment for this film for sure.

Featuring newcomers Kiran Abbavaram and Rahasya Gorak, the film is carved by debutant Ravi Kiran Kola. It has a wafer-thin storyline that resembles Pawan Kalyan’s Tholiprema movie and takes us back to the 90s with its cycles, farms and dialogues. A super slow second half did injustice to the movie’s success at the box office.
