Premalu Touches 50 Cr Mark

Malayalam film Premalu is catching everyone’s attention across South India currently. Usually, the Malayalam filmmakers prefer Bangalore as the backdrop for their urband rom-coms but this time, surprisingly, the makers shot the majority of the film in Hyderabad. The film opened to great positive reviews and is doing well at the box office.

As per the latest update from the trade, the small Malayalam budget flick has crossed a revenue of worldwide gross of 50 crore rupees in just 12 days. This has been a phenomenal number for a film made in a shoe-string budget.

The youthful romantic film also did well in the USA so far. In USA too, this film has collected close to $300k so far which is a big deal for a Malayalam film. On one hand, Mammootty’s Bramayugam is setting the box office on fire and on the other hand, Premalu is spicing it up.

Naslen K Gafoor and Mamitha Baiju played the lead roles in the film, directed by Girish AD.
