The year is coming to an end and there are only a few big films lined up for release in these two months. One of them is Varun Dhawan’s Baby John, which is one of the most-anticipated releases of this year. It is an official remake of Thalapathy Vijay and Atlee’s 2016 Tamil blockbuster, Theri. Directed by Kalees, this movie is slated for worldwide release on December 25.
Kicking off the promotions, the makers released the “Taster Cut” of this film today. The teaser introduced Varun Dhawan in two different getups, one as an honest and tough police officer and the other as a rugged rookie. He looks stunning in both getups.
We get glimpses of various action sequences in the movie. It looks like Baby John will be the biggest action film in Varun’s career. We also get a sneak peek of the film’s heroines, Keerthy Suresh and Wamiqa Gabbi. This is Keerthy’s debut film in Bollywood. Thaman’s background score was electrifying but loud at some places.
On the whole, Baby John looks like a stylish rehashed version of Theri. It has to be seen if the movie becomes the big hit Varun is looking for. Baby John is produced by Atlee, Jio Studios and Cine1 Studios.
