Bandla Ganesh, actor and producer known for his outspoken nature, attended the success celebrations of the recent blockbuster Little Hearts last night. The event was also graced by Vijay Deverakonda and producer Allu Aravind as chief guests.
During his speech, Bandla Ganesh praised the team of Little Hearts for delivering a strong result with limited resources. Made on a budget of just ₹2.5 crore, the film went on to collect around ₹50 crore at the box office. Calling it a remarkable achievement, Ganesh said, “Little Hearts proved that we can make hit films with content, not with budget.”
He further highlighted the rising costs of big productions, pointing out that for some pan-India films, even a three-day shoot cancellation could cost around ₹2.5 crore. “With that same amount, Little Hearts was made and it turned out to be a blockbuster. This should be a lesson for the biggest of directors and producers, including myself,” he remarked.
Taking a dig at those who believe only large-scale films work in today’s times, Ganesh strongly stated that Telugu cinema does not need ₹500 crore or ₹1000 crore films. Instead, he said the industry needs films like Little Hearts that bring families to theatres. “If we can make 12 such films every year, the Telugu film industry will thrive for the next 100 years,” he added.
His comments found some agreement among the audience m, as many echoed the view that content-driven cinema is what truly connects with people. The success of Little Hearts once again proved that small-budget films with strong storytelling can leave a big mark at the box office.
