Popular Tamil comedian Robo Shankar who acted in many super hit movies of Tamil passed away today due to health issues. The actor was diagnosed with jaundice and was recovering. However, he fainted earlier this week at his home and was rushed to a private hospital. Upon undergoing treatment, his body could not respond, resulting in his demise.
Reportedly, Robo Shankar was diagnosed with liver and kidney ailments when he was admitted to the hospital recently.
Robo Shankar shot to fame with a lot of comedy roles in Tamil movies. Some of his hits includes Viswasam, Puli, Singham 3, Cobra and others. He acted with almost all star heroes of Tamil film industry. He was last seen in Sotta Sotta Nanaiyuthu.
Robo Shankar also had a successful career on Television before venturing into mainstream cinema. He was survived by wife and one child. The funeral will take place at his home in Chennai on Friday.
