Cinematic universes are becoming a growing trend across Indian cinema. With audiences seeking larger, interconnected stories, many filmmakers are moving beyond standalone films to create sequels and crossover worlds.
Director Sujeeth seems to be heading in the same direction. He included a link between Saaho and They Call Him OG, which released on September 25. He also left a post-credit sequence announcing They Call Him OG 2.
During his recent visit to the USA for They Call Him OG special screenings, Sujeeth’s interaction with fans added fuel to the speculation. When fans asked if Akira, Pawan Kalyan’s son, would appear in the OG prequel, Sujeeth smiled and said, “If I say now, the thrill will be spoiled.”
Later, when asked whether actor Nani would be part of his cinematic universe, Sujeeth playfully responded, “Do you want it or not?” as the crowd cheered in approval. His smile afterward left fans guessing about his future plans.
Meanwhile, Sujeeth’s next film with Nani, a dark comedy produced by Niharika Entertainment and Unanimous Productions, was launched in Hyderabad on Dussehra. The project, tentatively titled #NaniXSujeeth, is expected to begin shooting after Nani wraps up The Paradise. The film is scheduled for release in late 2026.
