The Raja Saab, which released yesterday, opened with mixed talk. As announced by producer T Vishwa Prasad at the success meet, the film collected around 112 crores gross worldwide on Day 1. This once again highlights Prabhas’s strong box office pull.
During the press meet, the team addressed a few important concerns. One major topic was the older age Prabhas character briefly seen in the trailer. The makers clarified that this sequence has now been added to the film. They explained that a four minute episode could not be included earlier due to technical server issues. To make space for it, some other scenes were trimmed to maintain the story flow. With this clarification, a major doubt among fans has been cleared.
Director Maruthi also announced that normal ticket prices will be implemented from Monday. He requested audiences to enjoy the film over the weekend and confirmed that regular pricing would be available starting Monday. Now it remains to be seen whether distributors will follow this decision.
Considering the mixed response, the team’s quick reaction and corrective steps are being viewed positively. Ignoring fan feedback could have been risky, but responding promptly and making changes shows a sensible approach. In this regard, People Media Factory appears to have taken the right decision.
Contrary to social media rumours, the aged Prabhas look will not appear in the second part. Audiences can watch and enjoy it in the current version itself.
With new films releasing from Monday and several more lined up in the coming days, this weekend is crucial for The Raja Saab. If occupancy holds steady, the numbers could improve further. While the team claims audiences are happy with the content, a clearer picture will emerge over the next four to five days. All eyes are now on how viewers respond to the updated version.
