Crucial Sunday Coming Up For Sankranti Films

Like every year, 2026 Sankranti festival turned out to be a big blessing for Tollywood because majority of the new releases witnessed huge number of footfalls across all territories in Andhra and Telangana.

Big-ticket films like The Raja Saab, Mana Shankar Vara Prasad and medium budget movies like Bhartha Mahasayalaku Wignyapthi, Anaganaga Oka Raju and Nari Nari Naduma Murari hit the screens in the span of one week. 

Despite hectic competition, every Sankranti film secured respectable revenues during the festival days. Of all films, Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Mana Shankar Vara Prasad Garu clearly dominated the box office with sensational collections from the first day.

Naveen Polishetty’s Anaganaga Oka Raju and Sharwanand’s Nari Nari Naduma Murari also notched up impressive figures. Ravi Teja’s Bhartha Mahasayalaku Wignyapthi managed to get decent openings. Raja Saab started off well, but could not sustain after other films garnered good word of mouth. 

With the much hyped festival closing in, all films will have one last holiday on this Sunday to make strong moolah at the box office. This Sunday will be very crucial because revenues will see a considerable drop from Monday and all films will look to squeeze as much as possible on the final day. 

The advance sales for Chiranjeevi’s MSVPG are mind-blowing. The film is likely to register stunning collections and end its first week on a staggering note going by the trend of bookings on online ticket portals.

Anaganaga Oka Raju and Nari Nari Naduma Murari will aim to draw good crowds on Sunday as it will be the crucial chance for both films to add more into their box office kitty. 

All films will look to end the festival run on a positive note with a solid Sunday haul as the real test starts from next Monday.
