PK Directors Should Avoid Political References In Films

Aura of Ustaad, the second single from Pawan Kalyan’s Ustaad Bhagat Singh has released the other day. Harish Shankar gave a tribute to Pawan Kalyan’s character and mannerisms with the song.

There were also some pictures of Pawan Kalyan’s Political Journey in the Lyrical Video. And from then, there is a discussion if there will be Political undertones in the film with dialogues and references targeting YSR Congress.

However, Harish Shankar released a video offering an explanation.

“Pawan Kalyan clearly told me that Politics and films should be separate. That’s why his films have Prakash Raj even though they have ideological differences. There will be no dialogues or references targeting others in the film. That is also because Pawan Kalyan have fans across the political parties. However, there will be dialogues like Gaaju Glass to elevate our hero,” Harish Shankar clarified.

It is good that Harish Shankar clarified that before hand. However, its also time for other directors to completely avoid elevating Pawan Kalyan’s Political side in his films.

The references of Janasena Party, Symbol, and Pawan Kalyan’s Political Ideology are not necessary in films. If directors wish to elevate Pawan Kalyan, there are many positives to speak about him. Sujeeth made sure there is nothing like that in OG and fans enjoyed it big time.

When trying to incorporate these political elevations, directors are just going out of the spectrum to impress the crowd which is completely unnecessary.

Probably, Harish Shankar can not go back and correct but directors in future should do that for sure.

Ustaad Bhagat Singh has been under production for a long time and got delayed due to many factors. Harish Shankar released Mr Bachchan in between, but it bombed big time. He badly needs a hit and some relief with this film.
