Sankranthi Madness In TFI: From Titles To Release Dates

Anil Ravipudi‘s Sankranthi Success has polluted the entire industry. Everyone started believing that Sankranthi is a season that no one can miss. There is a rush in the industry to get a slot for Sankranthi. More than half a dozen films are working with a target of Sankranthi Release. 

Chiranjeevi – Bobby movie, Balakrishna‘s film, Nagarjuna‘s Sankranthi Soggallu, Venkatesh – Anil Ravipudi – Kalyan ram film, Nithin‘s next with Aay Director, Srinu Vaitla – Sharwanand film, Maruthi‘s next are the films that are being made for Sankranthi release.

Behind the scenes, there are many other films that are being planned for Sankranthi. As if this desperation is not enough, movies are also being named after Sankranthi.

Nithin‘s film is tentatively titled ‘Sankranthi Subhakanshalu‘. Maruthi is working on a script for Varun Tej and it is titled ‘Happy Pongal‘. Producer Razesh Danda has registered a title ‘Adiripoddi Sankranthi‘. A popular writer is working on a script called ‘Pandaga Bomma‘.

Audiences, however, are seeing all this desperation and a cheap attempt to milk the season advantage. 

Sankranthi is one season that will multiply the collections. Average films become Hit and Hit films become Blockbuster this season. But the logic industry should not miss is that this season also saw several disasters.

Films releasing for Sankranthi will definitely have advantage but the industry should understand that this is not an easy route to dish out mediocre films. 

Releasing films in a good season is not wrong because film making is business. But then, films should not be made with Pre-fixed measurements to give an impression to that audience that they are being taken for granted. 

Anil Ravipudi has his own reasons to be successful. But that does not mean his success formula will work for everyone. But sadly, Industry is known for taking the long messages.
