Thala Ajith Stuck in a Remuneration Mess?

Ajith Kumar’s next film has become one of the hottest topics in Tamil cinema, and surprisingly, the discussion is not about the story or director but about the star’s remuneration. Over the past few months, multiple reports in Tamil media have suggested that salary negotiations are delaying the announcement of his next project.

According to industry buzz, Ajith has reportedly decided to reduce his remuneration to around ₹150 crore, lower than what he is said to have received for Good Bad Ugly. Even then, producers appear cautious about committing to such a massive figure in the current market scenario.

Reports claim that discussions with Leading banner did not progress as expected, with the production house allegedly willing to go only up to ₹90 crore. Similar reports suggest that another potential producer offered around ₹110 crore. These claims remain unconfirmed but have fueled intense speculation.

The prolonged delay in finalizing AK64 has only added to the rumors. Earlier reports had also indicated disagreements over remuneration, with figures ranging between ₹170 crore and ₹200 crore being discussed.

At present, two projects are believed to be under consideration, one with Adhik Ravichandran and another with Siruthai Siva. Both are expected to be large-scale commercial entertainers. However, neither project has officially gone on floors.

For now, fans are eagerly waiting for clarity. Whether the remuneration issue is real or merely industry speculation, the delay in announcing Ajith’s next film is undoubtedly giving rise to more questions than answers.
