Buzz: Mahesh To Scrap Sony Deal And Start Own Venture

Reports are coming up that Mahesh is actually looking forward to scrapping the deal he has with Sony.

Many producers are recently starting to show their presence on OTT platforms. While the likes of Ashwini Dutt produced shows for Amazon, Sharat Marar and Krish produced for Aha, and the likes of Sai Korrapati are also doing their best to make entry into this web world.

Back then, actually Mahesh Babu was supposed to producer web series with the likes of some young directors and also rumoured to be making one with Deva Katta too. With none of those web series taking off, many thought that Mahesh and his wife Namrata are not keen on wrapping them. But actually they have made a deal with Sony to come up with content, and then teamed up with the same investor for Adivi Sesh’s Major as well.

Reports are coming up that Mahesh is actually looking forward to scrapping the deal he has with Sony and then start his own OTT platform before producing any content. Just like Allu Arvind’s Aha, even Mahesh-Namrata are said to be thinking on creating one such app, by teaming up with some top producers of Tollywood.

As Allu Arvind had a catalogue of films in hand, his Aha got a good start, but Mahesh has no such films in hand, so he might have to play more carefully, in case if his own OTT app rumour is true.
