‘RRR’s Life Is In Danger’: SP Receives Police Complaint

YSR Congress party MP from Narsapuram and well-known industrialist Raghu Rama Krishnam Raju. who has been in news of late for his statements against his own party, has been allegedly facing life threat.

Raju’s personal secretary Krishna Varma has given a formal complaint to West Godavari SP Narayan Naik, who recently assumed the charge. In his complaint, Krishna Varma alleged that Raghu Rama Krishnam Raju’s life is in threat and there could be any physical attack against him if he comes into the district. The complaint stated that Raju could be attacked if he visits his parliament constituency.

Secretary Krishna Varma further said that MP Raju has been getting several threatening calls from various anonymous callers who are threatening him of dire consequences if he steps into the district. Raju’s personal secretary has sought police protection to his boss. He also alleged that the district police hadn’t taken adequate measures despite previous complaint of threatening calls. He sought special security to MP Raju.

Raju’s recent comments against YSRCP MLAs have become courted major controversy. Raju has openly leveled allegations of corruption against the legislators in his parliament constituency. His statements were perceived to be against the party line and party high command.

Raju, who was earlier appointed as the Chairman of Legislative Committee In Parliament by the ruling BJP, has stated that it was BJP which gave him position, recognition. He said he would stay loyal to BJP for honouring him with such position. These comments have not gone down well with YSRCP leaders and MLAs. While thanking party chief YS Jagan for giving him Lok Sabha seat to contest, Raju claimed that he won on his charm besides Jagan’s charm.
