Give Rs 5000 Crore To Vizag Steel Plant: KTR Demands

BRS working president and Telangana IT Minister KTR has written a letter to the Centre asking to stop the privatisation of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant. In an open letter to the Union Government, KTR questioned why the Vizag Steel Plant is not provided loan waiver whereas the Centre waived off 12.5 lakh crore loans of corporate companies.

Demanding the Centre to buy the products of Vizag Steel Plant, he also demanded that the Centre should support the VSP by aiding in the working capital. KTR demanded Rs 5000 crore towards Vizag Steel Plant. He also asked the Centre to consider merging the Vizag Steel Plant with the SAIL (Steel Authority Of India).

KTR’s demands in favour of the Vizag Steel Plant have become a talking point in political circles. KTR’s open letter is expected to kick up a debate in political circles. Looks like, BRS is leaving no stone unturned to grab the attention of Andhra voters and trying to woo them. We have to see how the ruling YSRCP would respond to KTR’s letter.
