Krishnam Raju’s Wife To Contest As YSRCP MP?

If reports are anything to go by, veteran actor Krishnam Raju’s wife and Prabhas peddamma Shyamala Devi is likely to be fielded as YSRCP MP in the coming Lok Sabha elections. As per reports, YSRCP is toying with the idea of allocating Narsapuram Lok Sabha ticket to Shyamala Devi. Currently, defiant leader Raghu Rama Krishna Raju is representing the constituency.

Raghu Rama Raju, who won on YSRCP ticket, turned out to be the harshest critic of the party and its leader YS Jagan. So, this seat is vacant in the ruling party. Krishnam Raju was a leader of BJP. He won as MP twice from Kakinada and Narsapuram constituencies where Raju community has strong presence.

Considering these equations, CM Jagan and YSRCP’s senior leaders reportedly want Shyamala Devi to contest from YCP. However, there is no official confirmation or decision made. On the other hand, Shyamala Devi is also tight-lipped on the speculations of her political entry and her contest from YSRCP. If she joins the YSRCP fold, it will be advantage for the ruling party who will get support from the Raju community in the state. Let’s wait for an official confirmation.
