The BJP has been trying to gain foothold in the southern states since long but it seems to be lacking a proper strategy to achieve this goal.
Being relegated to the third position securing only a meagre eight seats in Telangana, the public expected that the party would at least move ahead with a proper action plan to make things work in its favour in neighbouring Andhra Pradesh but here too, there seems to no great prospects for the party.
Though the BJP has been lambasting the TDP in Andhra Pradesh, it is still sticking to the Jana Sena which is in an alliance with the TDP. This unusual bonhomie with the Jana Sena is raising several doubts over the BJP’s stand.
Recently, during the Telangana elections, the BJP declared an alliance with the Jana Sena and even allocated 9 constituencies to the party led by actor-turned-politician Pawan Kalyan. However, with the Jana Sena failing to at least register victory in one of them, the BJP immediately declared a shift in its stand and said the friendship with the Jana Sena has come to an end in that state.
But in Andhra Pradesh, the BJP has been iterating that it has not snapped ties with the Jana Sena.
With elections just two months away, voters are in utter confusion unable to decipher the stand of the BJP.
