All eyes are on the seat allocation aspect of the TDP and JSP alliance in Andhra Pradesh. There was a significant move on this front recently when Chandra Babu announced TDP candidates for the Araku and Mandapeta constituencies.
JSP boss Pawan Kalyan seems to be hurt by this move from Chandra Babu and he perhaps felt that alliance norms weren’t followed by TDP. So, he took the Republic Day occasion today to announce two of his party candidates.
“TDP announced two candidates recently. Maybe Chandra Babu Garu had pressure internally from the party to announce the two candidates. But I too have pressures from my party leaders. So I am taking this Republic Day occasion to announce that JSP will contest Razole and Rajanagaram constituencies” Pawan said in a meeting with JSP activists on the occasion of Republic Day today.
Pawan’s announcement is a direct reaction to TDP announcing two candidates. For the larger good of the alliance, the scores have been settled and we can expect TDP and JSP to work in coordination henceforth and announce further candidates with mutual agreement as that is the only way this alliance can prosper.
