Former Minister and senior YSRCP leader Avanti Srinivas has resigned from all positions within the party. This move comes as a surprise to many, as Srinivas had been a prominent figure in the party and served as a key leader in various capacities. The reasons for his resignation remain unclear, but it is speculated to be linked to internal party issues.
The decision comes after the party’s poor performance in recent elections, where it secured only 11 seats, and follows the exit of several senior leaders, including former ministers, MLAs, and key local leaders.
Sources suggest that Srinivas has grown disillusioned with Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s leadership, though he enjoyed key positions in YCP. He has distanced himself from party activities in recent months, fueling speculation about his resignation.
