Andhra Cricket Fan’s Dream: Lokesh Brings IPL to Vizag

The government of Andhra Pradesh and in particular, IT Minister, Nara Lokesh took great pride in bringing IPL to Vizag this year. Reportedly Lokesh and the President of Andhra Pradesh cricket Association Kesineni Chinni got in touch with the representatives of Delhi Capitals franchise and orchestrated them to play their opening two games of the season here in Vizag.

In this context, Lokesh came to the Vizag International Stadium today to express his support and gratitude to the representatives of IPL for coming to Vizag and bringing the IPL hype to the city.

Lokesh arrived at Vizag Stadium a few minutes back, and he was greeted by ICC president Jay Shah himself. This was a special occasion as it must have been an aspiration coming true for Lokesh, being a cricket fanatic himself, to bring IPL to Vizag.

More importantly, the fact that Jay Shah himself accompanied Lokesh on this trip to the Vizag Stadium shows the kind of significance the TDP leader has in the national circuit.
