Despite Trump’s Win, Musk’s Tesla Sales Hit New Lows

One of the most integral members of the Donald J Trump campaign in the recent United States election is Elon Musk. Trump himself stated that he rates Elon very highly and implied that he would be an important part of the United States administration. 

However, despite the unconditional support of Trump and the huge win in the recent election, none of these factors appear to be working the trick for Musk. 

Going by the latest global reports, electric automakers Tesla, which is owned and operated by Elon Musk recorded one of its biggest ever slumps when it comes to vehicle sales. 

Reportedly Tesla observed a shocking thirteen percent decline in car sales for the first quarter of 2025. Subsequently, the company lost 6% valuation in global markets. This is mainly due to the shocking decline in car sales that were recorded in the first quarter.

Overall, it can be argued that this company is witnessing one of its worst, ever slump and numerically, its most threatening decline in the last three years in terms of sales.  

According to the larger consensus, it is being heard that the far right approach taken by Elon has been having a negative impact on the general public in the United States. Another reason that is being cited is that the residents are apparently looking at other competitive option from rival electro automotive companies. 

While it was natural to expect Elon Musk to scale new heights after Trump’s win, the exact opposite is happening. It can also be noted that Elon was recently promoted as the chief of DOGE which regulates government expenditure. Elon took radical measures by firing several people in government organisations which further added to his negative imaging in the public.
