Protests Erupt in Jagan’s Tour; Women Injured in Stone Pelting

Former AP Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy decided to tour Podili in Prakasham district. However, he is facing severe opposition from the public over the same. In the view of a a senior journalist making objectionable comments over Amarathi women in a debate in Sakshi TV Channel, the women are serious on Jagan with Sakshi not tendering any apology.

Hence, the women decided to protest against Jagan as he is touring Podili today. Jagan planned to visit the Tobbaco auction center as part of his tour and the women gathered in large number to display their protest.

Holding some placards and shouting the slogans like, “Down Down Jagan” and “Bharathi Reddy Mounam Veedali,” the women carried out protests.

However, some of the YSRCP leaders hurled stones at these women protesting YS Jagan, resulting in a chaotic situation. Some of the women were injured and the police officials are currently handling the situation.

A couple of police constables were also injured during the stone spelling. More details are awaited.
